Mary Isis describes herself as a sacred song weaver, ritualist of the healing arts, psychopomp and visionary guide, and also a biology enthusiast and folk herbalist. She is a singer-songwriter, music producer, musician and sound healer who offers herself as a "transformational ally" to people on a path of change.
She has been creating and singing songs since as far back as she can remember. She says her songwriting rests on two things, deep listening and intention, and she regards her music as "Visionary Medicine Music." Her debut album was "Nectarian" (2013), and her own biography notes nine more albums since, produced from her home studio in Northern California. Her most recent album, "Integration," was produced entirely on her own. She describes it as ten years of moving through joy, pain, grief and praise, with the prayer that the songs bring inspiration, healing and awakening to those who listen. She has also released "SongSeeds," a collection of raw looping compositions made with vocal looping.
Her guiding work is transformational recovery and integration through nature, ritual and sacred sound. She is a certified transformational (addiction) recovery and psychedelic/plant medicine preparation and integration coach, a certified end-of-life caregiver with special training in psychedelic medicines, and a trained EFT practitioner. She is also a ceremonialist of the shamanic ritual arts and an initiate of the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition. She says she has worked intentionally with sacred plant medicines for over 25 years and has held ceremonial space for 10.
Mary speaks openly about her own story of addiction, co-dependency and suffering, and of hope and healing, and about the support she was grateful to receive when she could no longer do it alone. She teaches about healthy living, shamanic earth-based ritual, working with addiction, intuition and creative flow, and opening the voice. Singing is where she especially loves to help people reconnect with their innate creativity. She has led a "Voices of Gaia" workshop at Mana Festival in Hawai'i.
